    Tragedy in the Bedwyr Household

Post  Bedwyr on Thu Mar 12, 2015 10:02 am

Yesterday morning my youngest daughter got her foot ran over by a minivan while walking to the bus.

It was one of those freak, early spring sunlight things where the driver couldnt see her and Lydia was walking with her head down and didnt see the van.

I praise God, that it wasn't worse than a foot. Her big sister who is 10, had a hold of her hand and she saw the van stopped and pulled her sister back enough so it was only her foot and not her whole body that got ran over.

After 4 pins in 3 toes, and 2 hours of surgury...Lyds shold be coming home to us today.

The Ortho Ped Surgeon feels Lyds will be up and running in about 3 weeks.

So keep Luann, myself, and our girls in your prayers and she begins her healing process thank you.

Wow! Great that it wasn't worse that could have happened and many kudos to big sisters quick thinking.
My heartiest wishes for a speedy recovery.
    Salute!

Good work on her big sister's part!

With long term recovery like that, keeping the mind busy helps a lot. Trust me. It makes the time go by faster for her.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this stressful time. You should be proud of both of your daughters, for each has handled this situation with strength and courage, a testament to the character of their parents!
