    Unloaded it after 45 minutes of frustration just trying to get into the game, I could have more fun shooting sucker darts at the TV screen while watching FLYBOYS!


    ROF = SUX
    very disapointed in the total LACK of ease in just trying to get in the Damn game, as well as the constant "can not connect to server" durring the registration part.

    If you need a demo video on how to register the game that you just got with 2, count'em, 2 whoppin planes scratch then you are probly gonna be pizzed off that the geniuses behind the development didn't care to "easy" the gettin in the game part up a bit. I know alot of you read all the stuff and watched the "demo" but the buying public wants instant gratification, not a obstacle cours of "do this, do that", they want to get to the action. I am giving rise of flight 10 on grafix (i give Family guy the same) and a
    WHAT THE HELL on ease of use, really disapointed Evil or Very Mad

    I agree Peace, wholeheartedly.
    Why you need a user name and a password to start a game is beyond me. If they are giving the demo away free what difference does it make??
    I would hate to pay money for the disc or the full download only to get hung up on a password.
    I am stalemated at the user name/pasword bit. I registered and received my confirmation but the game WILL NOT recognize my password or username.
    What good are graphics if you can't start your game.
    I have two emails into RoF asking for help but no answer.
    A humongous crock of s--t, if you ask me..

    I tried Rise of Flight out myself it was okay graphically over all wasn't impressed flying wise....

    The plane models are interesting...while the fuselages are complete the engine compartment isn't.

    The FMs for a number of the planes seem a bit overly porked...for example the DVII and the Pfalz XII have the ability to out run a SPAD XIIIa in a slight dive and at level flight...(Not possible)

    Also the SPAD seemed to have the ability to turn fight both the Alby V and the Fokker D 7.

    I found the ground objects less than desirable, IL2 has much better ground targets including 3D trenches which soldiers can be placed in

    ...and here the game is almost 2 yrs old and it still only has 2 multi crew planes per side...and these were planes that were AI from the beginning...It would seem to me that maybe 777 would have come out with more by now.

    Ok but it is about criticism of RoF or the opportunity to test free RoF. I hold back my personal opinion about iL2 and CoD, my grandpa always said, "how you make your bed, so sleep"

    I have done all you suggest. I have received the confirmation email fro Rof, with my user name and paswsword.
    However, the problem is , my game will not accept them.
    I have written RoF support and posted on the RoF Support Forum. I have not reicved anything back from them.
    Don't know what else to do.

    Peacemaker, I think you will not regret it. see it not as competitors but as an extension. you will find many old acquaintances on the servers, J5 US95, AB1, KoA, JG1, J11, Wingwalker,RAF 74, baron of Helton ... it look like the skin list from flybert, lol.
    And the flight model is okay, there are worse.

    Unable to discover how to send PM on RoF Forum.
    However, here is my problem and info which you might copy and see what you an get done.

    I downloaded and installed the Rise of Flight Demo. All went without incident. I then registered and received the confirmation email. I then tried to enter the game but was unable to because the game would not recognize my user name or password.
    Have no idea why this is happening.

    My password is Schatzie
    My nickname is Beer30
    I am considering buying the CD of RoF but would like to try the demo before I do.
    If we could resolve this situation, I would deeply appreciate it.

    Beer, try using your email addy as the username for logging on. That is how mine is set up. A little confusing that the nick for forums and username (email) being different, but I think the game rocks.
